FIRB: What You Need To Know About Buying Property In Australia

Before you go ahead and purchase an investment property in Australia, you first have to check in with the Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB).

All you have to do is complete a simple application via the FIRB website. Then once approved you’re good to go!

  1. FIRB generally approves new homes to be used as investment properties
  2. Established homes may not be used for investment purposes
  3. There is no limit on how many new homes you can purchase
  4. FIRB approval is required for each additional purchase
